What is Adipex-75 and what is it used for?
Adipex-75 is a medicine (anorectic) that suppresses excessive appetite. It suppresses the feeling of hunger, making it easier to follow dietary restrictions and lose weight. The active substance Phenterminum resinatum is combined in the form of polystyrene sulfonate, from which it is gradually released into the body. The slow release of the active substance leads to a continuous anorectic effect for at least 8 hours. Adipex-75 is intended as an adjunctive treatment for patients with obesity in whom a reduction diet alone is insufficient to reduce body weight.
Dosage
Usually 1 capsule is taken daily with breakfast. The product should not be taken in the evening, as the active ingredient may cause irritability and insomnia.
Duration of treatment
Treatment usually lasts 4-6 weeks and should not exceed 3 months. If further treatment is scheduled, it can be repeated only after the duration of treatment has been interrupted. While taking Adipex-75, you should follow the diet recommended by your doctor and increase physical activity. Weight loss is greater if low-calorie foods are consumed and consumption of foods containing fats and carbohydrates is limited. You should follow a low-calorie diet for the next 6 weeks after treatment.
Possible side effects
Like other medications, Adipex-75 may have side effects. The drug is usually well tolerated, but dizziness, headache, insomnia, irritability, dry mouth, dysgeusia, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea may occur. Chest pain, sexual dysfunction, urinary tract disorders and, rarely, skin rashes may also occur. If used for more than 3 months, the development of heart disease and drug dependence is possible. Adipex-75 contains soybean oil. If you are allergic to peanuts or soy, do not use this medication. In case of possible side effects or other unusual reactions, consult a physician for further use of the product.
Important warnings
Do not take Adipex-75 if you are hypersensitive to the drug or any of its ingredients, if you have respiratory disease, high blood pressure, heart, blood vessel or brain disease, hyperthyroidism or diabetes.
Under no circumstances should you take Adipex-75 if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The product should not be taken with other appetite suppressant medications
