What Poxet-60 mg contains
Poxet-60 mg tablets contain the active ingredient dapoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which is used to treat and prevent persistent or recurrent premature ejaculation (PE), a common form of sexual dysfunction in men. PE is defined as premature ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before and after penetration and can cause anxiety and problems in relationships.
It is believed that the ejaculatory reflex is mediated by serotonin, which is a specific brain chemical or neurotransmitter that transmits nerve signals, allowing brain cells to communicate.
Dapoxetine in Poxet-60 mg blocks the reuptake of serotonin from the synapse, which is the gap between nerve cells through which chemical messages are sent from one nerve cell to another. If the reuptake of serotonin by the first nerve cell (presynaptic) is blocked, this means that more serotonin is left for the receiving nerve cell (postsynaptic), allowing the nerve cells to communicate with each other for longer. Dapoxetine in Poxet-60mg helps to improve ejaculation control and prolong the time interval before ejaculation and during intercourse.
